SIMRIN PLAYER

INSTRUCTOR

​Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Simrin Player began her professional dance career at the age of 9 at the 2007 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Awards Show Missy Elliott Tribute. She continued her studies at USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, where she had the honor of performing works by Crystal Pite, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Dwight Rhoden, Alejandro Cerrudo, Barak Marshall, and more. While completing her BFA in dance, Simrin simultaneously pursued a minor in Communications with a concentration on Culture, Media, & Entertainment. Simrin is an endowed Glorya Kaufman Scholar of the Class of 2021, Dean Scholar (Academic Award), and Dance Merit Scholar. She has simultaneously continued her pursuits commercial dance, including her own choreography on the hit TV show The Voice, for clients such as Apple, Old Navy, Walmart, Target, Samsung, and Malibu, and featured in Disney+’s Beauty and The Beast: 30 Year Anniversary Live Action Special and Step Up 3D. Simrin hopes to share her choreographic vision of melding all forms of dance from contemporary, jazz, hip hop, to breakdancing with audiences around the world.
