The Intermediate level is designed for dancers ages 12 - 13. This is still an introductory level at which students are expected to master all of their basic skills before moving to the next level. These would include body placement, alignment, stretched feet, basic turn technique, and straight legs. Each class is offered separately in the following styles: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Jumps & Turns, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Ballet is required if a student at this level wishes to take Jazz, Jumps & Turns or Contemporary.
The dress code for Intermediate Ballet is any style black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.
The dress code for Intermediate Jazz, Jumps & Turns and Contemporary is any tight fitting dance top, leggings or shorts. For Jazz, tan slip-on jazz shoes are required. The dress code for Intermediate Tap is any tight fitting dance top, leggings or shorts and black lace-up tap oxford tap shoes. The dress code for Intermediate Hip Hop is any sort of top, leggings or pants and sneakers.
