Studio Policies
Important Policy Information 2009-2010
Parents are responsible for reading and following the policies below.
- To receive the discounted tuition rate, payment MUST be received by the 10th of each month. It is your responsibility to make sure this payment is received by the 10th of every month. Beginning the 11th, tuition will be full price. Monthly statements will not be sent out.
- There is a $25 fee for any returned checks and a $10 fee if the check does not initially clear the bank due to insufficient funds. NSF checks must be replaced within 10 days of notification.
- Any accounts delinquent 2 months must call the desk and clear the account before a student can attend class.
- Bobbie’s School of Performing Arts has the right to refuse service if outstanding balances have not been reconciled.
- All Munchkins classes and Jumpstart ballet classes are considered an hour in regards to billing (no exceptions).
- When only taking Hip Hop, tuition for the class is an exception to the normal tuition rates.
- We do not refund tuition for missed classes. An account is only prorated when a student adds or drops a class mid-month. If a student misses a class, it is his/her responsibility to attend a make-up class in a comparable or lower level within 2 months of the absence. If a class is cancelled, it is the studio’s responsibility to offer a make-up class or prorate tuition for that particular month.
- Jumpstart students must take Ballet in order to add Tap or Jazz. Twinkle Toes must take the Ballet & Tap class in order to add Jazz. A Twinkle Toes student may take Hip Hop without taking Ballet & Tap.
- Parent must fill out a blue Class Change form if any changes are made to the original schedule (Add , Drop, Withdraw), as filled out by you at the time of registration. Official notification of class changes is required. You will be held responsible for the original tuition amount until ALL required paperwork has been received. All class changes must be in writing – we will not accept changes over the phone.
- Parents are responsible for updating the studio with any billing information, e-mail, and phone numbers that change during the course of the 2009 – 2010 dance year.
- E-mail will be used to contact you with information regarding important scheduling information, class changes, billing questions, and important information. (Please set your security settings to receive email from info@bobbiesschool.com.
- Recital costumes must be paid in full before they will be handed out. Late fees will apply when payment is received after the deadline.
- Recital tickets will not be distributed to parents until their account has been paid in full. This includes June tuition, recital fees, and all other account charges accrued during the year.
- During the months of March through June, it is imperative that all students attend class. If a student misses more than 4 classes during this period of time, Bobbie and/or the teacher reserve the right to ask the student not to participate in the recital, as excessive absences are disruptive to the other students in the class. (You will be responsible for recital fees.) Special circumstances may apply.
- No dancer is allowed to walk outside by themselves. Please come inside to pick up your child.
- Please be on time to class and wearing the appropriate dance attire and shoes.
- The studio has a 5 minute rule; this rule allows all students and teachers 5 minutes between each class to change rooms, shoes, etc.
- You are responsible for abiding by all rules and regulations as stated in the Student Handbook and in the Code of Conduct.
